Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?

Garfield Minus Garfield puts a spin on the classic Garfield cartoon by simply photoshopping the central character out of it.  Many of the resulting comics are quite surreal and thought-provoking.

Twistori is

an ongoing social experiment, based on twitter. inspired by wefeelfine and drawing data from summize, hand-crafted by amy hoy and thomas fuchs.

It pulls messages from the Twitter network that have certain phrases in them (”I think”, “I feel”…) and displays it in all in an animated river of thoughts and feelings. Very simple but very intriguing! Now if only they would turn it into a screensaver…
